Director of Academic Advising and Counseling
The Director of Academic Advising and Counseling provides leadership for the College’s aggressive, 2-tiered advising and counseling program that supports intrusive early intervention.  Specifically, the Director is responsible for the planning, organizing and supervising of activities, programs, processes and procedures to ensure that  1) students have knowledge of and access to everything needed for successful college matriculation and  2) faculty and staff are equipped to effectively guide them through the EWC matriculation process.  The Director is responsible for coordinating the requirements and academic options for students who are undecided about their major field of study.  In addition, the Director is responsible for administering tests, analyzing, and interpreting results, preparing reports, assessing students’ study habits, attitudes, and skills.

The successful candidate must possess, at a minimum, Masters in Education, Psychology, or Counseling, the Doctorate Degree is preferred, and at least five years experience working with college students in an academic counseling/academic advising or related capacity.
