Summer Bridge 2006  Program Overview   

The Edward Waters College Summer Bridge Program is an invitational, six (6) week, residential high school to college transition program designed to enhance the participants’ ability to become engaged in the learning process.  The program focuses on enhancing reading, writing, mathematics, technology, critical thinking, study, note taking and test taking skills.

 

Successful completion of the program requires participants to adhere to program policies and procedures and the student code of conduct, maintain regular class and tutoring session attendance, complete class assignments, and participate in program activities.

 

Participants receive intensive instruction in the areas of reading, writing and mathematics.  Classroom instruction is reinforced through technology based learning labs and individual/group tutoring sessions.
